Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one time and without the need to switch devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual can get you up and running in no time. It comes with a full dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you pick the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you could decide to let the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are superb as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the history of cleaning on the app will reveal exactly what the robot accomplished, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks are required like emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.

robot vacuum cleaners best and mop are able to run for a long time and the mop is capable of operating for 184 minutes in Quiet mode and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is well laid out and easy to understand, though we would like to be able to differentiate between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may overlook.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by having a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It can then change its path automatically and clean around them, without missing a step.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and has just three physical buttons that include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-filling.
The only downside I've discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if needed), it's a pain to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track battery life. You'll have to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry debris, including pet hair and crumbs. It also comes with a top-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. In addition the X40 is very quiet during its operation, with only occasional bursts of sound when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 also comes with a side brush that is able to be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture that is curved like table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to reach under furniture that is low-profile making it an ideal option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that enables the X40 to avoid damaging floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Unlike some other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or separately. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is intuitive and user-friendly and the X40's clever features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous convenient features, making it an ideal option for busy families. The docking station can automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect when the mop pad is full and notify you before it overflows, reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It does have many characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.
The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There's a plethora of settings available, including the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. They can be set through the app, or via direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous features that other robots do not have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles rather than using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, sporting a white and metallic design that looks elegant and classy. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at around 4kg but it's not too heavy either, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
